today i met up with friends for a late brunch at first alleyway, after a good skype call with my parents. david had an interview downtown, but he met up with us briefly too. first alleyway is a great little foreign restaurant that offers decently priced comfort foods. they just added pizzas to their menu, and on the weekends they do brunch. we’ve spent many weekend mornings/early afternoons there, unwinding with friends in an english-friendly space, over plates of eggs, toast, bacon, and potatoes (and bottomless coffee! this is unheard of in korea, and makes it worth ever penny).
afterwards, i went to the movie wuthering heights with kristin and joanne… and felt rather confused/repulsed for most of the movie. but the movie theater is one of the coolest i’ve ever been in, so i won’t complain too much. i just wouldn’t recommend the film (the 2011 version). afterwards, i came home and david and i had a lazy evening while he edited his gwangju news videos and i read. and now, it’s time for some popcorn! exciting lives we lead, i know.
